반갑습니다.
통일 연구의 요람 연세대학교 통일연구원을 방문해 주셔서 대단히 감사합니다.
안녕하십니까. 통일과 북한연구의 중심으로 발돋움하고 있는 연세대학교 통일연구원입니다.
1995년 설립된 연세대학교 통일연구원은 전임 원장님들의 헌신과 노력으로 남북분단, 남북경협, 한반도 평화 그리고 북한에 대한 객관적이고 심층적인 연구 성과를 축적하여, 한국 사회에 통일학 북한학이라는 학문체계를 구축하는데 지속적으로 기여하였습니다.
연세대학교 통일연구원은 학술등재지인 『통일연구』와 SCOPUS에 등재된 세계 유일의 북한연구 영문 학술지 NORTH KOREAN REVIEW를 통하여 엄밀한 학술적 객관성에 기반한 북한·통일연구 성과를 공급하고 있습니다.
또한, 연세대학교 통일연구원은 본교 일반대학원 소속의 통일학 협동과정을 통하여 대한민국에서 가장 학술적으로 검증된 통일, 북한 분야의 석·박사들을 배출하여 왔고, 이들은 현재 학계, 정부와 공공기관, 시민단체 등의 다양한 분야에서 혁혁한 활동을 벌이고 있습니다.
통일과 북한 연구분야는 국내·외 정세변화에 대단히 민감하기에 많은 연구 성과물이 생산됨에도 불구하고 이론적 축적이 쉽지 않은 것이 현실입니다. 이에 연세대학교 통일연구원은 시시각각 변화하는 정세 속에서 적실성과 분석력을 가지는 이론적 논의에 그 역량을 집중하고 있습니다. 또한, 본 연구원은 높은 수준의 학술지 발간과 엄격한 교육과정을 통한 전문가 육성을 통해 그 목표를 성실하게 수행하고 있습니다. 이러한 노력은 동아시아 평화유지, 한반도의 평화통일 그리고 통일한국의 번영을 위한 근본적인 기반을 제공하게 될 것입니다. 연세대학교 통일연구언에 여러분들의 지속적인 관심과 격려를 부탁드립니다.
Welcome to the Yonsei Institute for North Korean Studies (YINKS).
Greetings and welcome to the Yonsei Institute for North Korean Studies, the research hub in North Korea and Unification studies.
Founded in 1995, YINKS is a representative research and educational institute that has furthered the development of researches and researchers in the field of unification and North Korea studies.
The present YINKS could not have been made without the dedication and endeavor of the former directors. As a result of their hard work, YINKS did not only achieve many academic accomplishments, but has also developed its educational programs to train new specialists in the field of unification and North Korean studies and is making new traditions.
The academic developments made by YINKS can be found in remarkable journals such as <Korean Unification Studies>, a KCI-listed journal, <NORTH KOREA REVIEW> which is the world's only English journal in North Korean studies to be listed on SCOPUS, and <Journal of Territorial and Maritime Studies> which is becoming renowned globally in its field. In the educational factor, through the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Korean Unification Studies, YINKS has provided interdisciplinary education on unification and North Korea related problems, producing masters and doctors who can understand related topics fully with various perspectives and work in diverse areas such as the academia, government, press, civic organizations and more.
To continue these traditions, YINKS will carry on its effort to improve research results, briskly share such results, and produce experts. Moreover, admist the international political changes, YINKS will increase communications to share thoughts on important issues to further peace in the Korean peninsula and East Asia.
